Sanderson Sussex Downs curtain fabric

I've fallen in love with this fabric and as we live at the foot of the Downs it feels quite appropriate. I'm thinking of getting curtains made in it for the lounge, but not sure how to decorate the rest of the room. Dh is determined to paint the whole interior white - would this fabric work with white walls? We have brown leather sofas and armchairs. It's an old house with inglenook fireplace, wooden floor, two sets of French doors and a bay window. The curtains would be for the bay (shan't bother curtaining the French doors).

Its lovely. They have wallpapers in the range too I notice, so you could always do a bit of a feature wall. Bright white might be a little stark in contrast to the slightly softer tones on the fabric. If your DH wants to blitz in a basic colour to start off could you move him to magnolia and then decorate from that as a slightly softer base?

I recently found myself standing outside our local decorating shop with shop painted wood blocks discussing the virtues of different shades of white with the proprietor [very sad person who needs a life emoticon].
