White kitchen units with white corian worktops-yay or nay?

i need to order kitchen but can't make up my mind!!!

Choices are cream high gloss units with laminate wood effect worktops or the white high gloss units with white corian worktop (we like the moulded sink Grin).

My worries about white kitchen are that it'll look too stark....and that I'll stain worktop and ruin the whole thing! But I do like the quality look of the worktop and that it'll be easier finding a dining table in white than it will in cream.

Only other things chosen are black rangemaster and multi coloured dining chairs

We have white & white (and some oak too). I love it. But I love lots of other colour schemes too!

I wouldn't go for a white moulded sink though. That WILL stain, you'll be forever scrubbing it down with CIF.

Thank you both. Yes, those chairs are rather lovely aren't they, the only thing I've been sure about in this bloody kitchen!!!

Interesting, I hadn't thought of sink staining. I thought this corian thing wasn't supposed to stain? But now imagining it after washing up the spagetti bolognese pan Confused.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I have a white kitchen with white corian worktops and sink - it doesn't stain and looks fab 5 years in. Looks much better than a water splashed stainless steel sink. (If it did appear to stain 5 seconds with some flash bleach sorts it out, as I discovered after rolling out blue icing for a cake and a curry takeaway incident.) I'd definitely have it again. White glass splashback too. I don't think it looks stark - coloured crockery, tea towels and vases of flowers look incredible against it and you can ring the changes all the time.

I wouldn't have a moulded corian wortop and sink, I know someone who had one and it cracked.

You'll be forever using Barkeepers Friend whenever someone put a teabag down.

We have white corian worktops and cupboard fronts. Ours is relatively new (done towards the end of last year) but so far no stain problems. Our sink is moulded corian, but the bottom of the sink is metal - a metal tray that comes up about an inch at the sides, in the bottom of the sink....like [[http://cdukltd.co.uk/products/view/20]]. That solves the problem of teastains down the sink, and any that splashed on the side have come off with either a squirt of fairy liquid or some barkeepers friend. From what our kitchen supplier said, most Corian sinks are like this now because the full moulded ones had a tendency to crack when boiling water went down them.

We have all white kitchen, white walls, pale grey floor....it means you can use lots of bright accent colour and it still works.

Sorry I don't know why my link didn't work. I'll try again cdukltd.co.uk/products/view/20

Yay! Definitely!

A white corian countertop with moulded sink is exactly what I want too. They just look so fabulous and so streamlined and so opulent. Oh, and corian just feels so nice too. I cant resist running my hands over and over and over it in showrooms! Blush. Especially the seamless sink bit. I can't afford one at the moment though: the ones I costed up all came in at around £2300-2500 Sad

(I think they look really nice too if you get a small upstanding moulded into the countertop also)
