Where do I find wallpaper remnants?

Probably a very dim question, but I have never bought wallpaper in my life so don't know!

I got a lovely big blanket box from a car boot sale last week, and am going to paint it. Inside I thought I might line it with wallpaper remnants - preferably something cool and retro (to keep hip with the kids on the street, you understand).

Can I do this without buying a whole roll? Do places that sell wallpaper offer remnants? Do they do bargain bins? Or are there any wallpaper websites that offer samples?

Go in to an independent wallpaper sales shop. They have always cut large samples from rolls for me. They always have little baskets with display/end of line rolls in.

Sanderson will send you samples of their wallpapers for free (not sure how many you can get - I think I got about 4 A4) I bet if you searched the wallpaper sites you could get quite a few free samples. Also Sanderson have some great retro 50s wallpaper here I have atomic in one room!

Go anywhere that sells wallpaper and you can cut yourself a 'sample' to hang on the wall to see if it matches your decor/furniture etc.

You could also do a sort of wallpaper patchwork - get as many free A4 samples as you can and stick them on.

all diy shops let you take free samples -and they don't police how big the samples are, how many you take or question your motives for doing so hehehe
