Has anyone fitted framed kitchen units please. Expletives coming from DH - it is just not obvious how to fit the frame - instructions/pre-drilled holes look they are for a frameless model, but supplier ensures us that all cabinets are the same for framed or unframed. There are no pre-drilled holes to attach the frames. Are we missing something. Anyone out there experienced the same, or got a kitchen fitter handy they can ask. Thanks. Confused

Hi Mammonite - wrong instructions were included, so Benchmarx have faxed over relevant ones. Seems much calmer in the kitchen now - 1 frame and door on - though DH assures me it is not as straightforward as you would think. I personally would have paid someone experienced to come in and fit them - few hundred pounds of cabinets there to muck up - fingers crossed. Thanks for getting back :)

Just wondering how you are getting on with your inframe kitchen, carpwidow. I went to our local Benchmarx yesterday and was surprised by how good the kitchens looked.

I just had a Wickes framed kitchen fitted- Heritage I think it's called in the bone colour. The kitchen fitter said he hated fitting the framed ones as they were a pain so it's not just your dh. It looks fab now it's in. Best thing about Wickes/benchmarx kitchens are the wall cupboards are slightly deeper than most so you can get a full size dinner plate in. Good luck.

The Heritage is the same as the Benchmarx Dovedale I have my eye on. I have always fancied an in-frame kitchen but when I looked at it, I wondered whether the frames would get in the way of putting things in and taking them out of the cupboards, particularly with the narrower ones. How are you finding this, Paddy?
