I don't know what to get him, can't do all the fallbacks like candles, smelly stuff or wine.

We will write him a nice letter as he's been fab, but what pressie?

dd has a male teacher, we were thinking a £5 i-tunes voucher as music is kind of his thing.

I'd say cinema voucher too, I never get itunes unless I know they have an apple product to use it on.

Yes to posh olives. Or moleskin notebooks. Or good cheese and biscuits.

M&S voucher if there is an M&S store nearby. The voucher can then be used for various things - including passing to someone else if necessary.

As a bloke (not a teacher mind... I'm a nanny) I wouldn't say no to an M&S voucher.

Amazon voucher (lots of choice and good value)

Cinema voucher

Theatre tokens

Good olive oil / coffee etc.

If you know his interests, something on the subject; although be warned, I once so delighted DS's teacher by a pressie that picked up on a conversation we had years back that he rung me at home to thank me. Trouble was DS's friends were at our house and DS picked up the phone, I got some very funny looks as he hadn't rung their parents!!

Cock ring and butt plug? Seriously though, we were in the same dilemma over DD's very gay bus driver who has no vices apart from a really dodgy hair cut. I regifted a glossy book about people from around the world.

Gifts are not expected by most teachers but I don't know any who don't appreciate a voucher.

Would suggest not a tie! The male teachers I know are always given so many at the end of term. Must be the male equivelant of bubble bath or a candle! x

They have some good pressies in John Lewis which are suitable. One with 3 different funky cooking oils, one with 3 different pates, one with cheese and biccies, one with chutneys. All look fab and yummy and not at all girly. DH (though not a teacher) bwould love them all!

I got DS2's male teacher an itunes voucher last year, but he was in his mid -twenties so a safe bet that he owns an Ipod of some description.
