They are very closely controlled and you won't be able to get hold of them. You can't get them on the WWW, you can't purchase them, and schools are not supposed to give copies out.

I would just get the tutor to use standard Nelson tests: it's the same sort of thing.

How do you know he "went wrong" anywhere? Have you had the results already? Normally they're marked externally and take ages to come back. These tests are not like the more usual content-based tests, where there might be something to be gained from going over errors and leaning from mistakes. They are basically IQ tests and supposed to measure aptitude in a range of skills. Therefore, as Roisin suggested, to get ds to attempt some NFER tests would give you an idea of his strengths - or whether he is a viable 11+ candidate, for instance. Or even the verbal/nonverbal booklets available in WH Smith would do.

I think the whole idea of the CAT is that they show how a child is doing at that particular moment - it would defeat the object if you could tutor to the test. It tries very hard to be an objective assessment of the child's ability - your ds didn't "go wrong" - he just did what he could do at the time.
