Hi,

Living in and loving Wapping.
Work is City or CW, planning a family.

Currently living in a lovely 1 bed - move inevitable - more space is required.

Serious expense so has to be good for 10 years or so before we move again.

It's between a flat in Wapping, a London burb (thinking Woodford, wanted, buckhurst hill any other ideas welcome), or further afield - Sevenoaks / St Albans.

Major factor here seems to be primary schools - good ones in Wapping oversubscribed and population growing fast.

Any experience/advice on Wapping school/of moving from town to burb?

Any help much appreciate!

I used to live in Shadwell (back in the day) but was single so had no experience of schools in or near Wapping.

The one bit of advice I have is to find out how much it will cost you to commute and make sure that you allow for that when working out how much you can afford.

Not any more I'm afraid. Most of the friends I have from back then have moved out to Surrey / Kent / Essex now they've got kids. A friend used to supply teach in Tower Hamlets but that was about ten years ago.
