Primary School advice in Warwickshire

We have two children who will be starting in Year 3 and Reception in Sept 2015. We're in the process of relocating from London to Warwickshire and looking at schools around Henley in Arden, Tanworth and Claverdon (waiting for info on places) Has anyone got any advise (good or bad) about these locations and their Primary Schools and other local activities? We're booked to visit the schools soon so hopefully things will become clearer but personal experience is always useful.

I'm also interested in advice but for Rugby! Mumof can I ask what you did for your reception age child due for Sept 2015 entry? Did you apply for school place in London or Warwickshire?

As far as I know Tanworth-in-Arden is usually oversubscribed so I think you would struggle for 2 spaces there.

Henley has 2 primary schools: the montessori (which I think only has about 5 or 6 kids in each year) and St Marys. I'm afraid I don't know much about either - my ds is at school in the next village along from Henley (Wootton wawen) and we love it!

We applied for a place in a London school as at the time our relocation wasn't confirmed. Apparently if you've done that you have to apply for the waiting lists in Warwickshire via your current LA. Good luck

Ooh Woton Wawen is beautiful. We drove through there the other day wondering how to pronounce it. (Sorry no help I realise)
