Primary schools in ior near Stratford Upon Avon

Calling all Stratford Upon Avon Mums!
After 17 years in France I am moving back to the UK to live in or near Stratford on Avon. I am looking for a State Primary School for my son who should be in Reception now.
I have been told there is a space in Bishopton Primary but am having difficulty understanding if this school is a good school or not. The results over the past few years seem to have changed dramatically for the better. Is this right? Is there a new headteacher? I know there is an outstanding school in Stratford but it is impossible to get in. Please can someone help me. Any general advice on Primary schools in or near Stratford would be welcome. Thanks

hi. not sure how far out of Stratford you want go go but there are wonderful schools in alcester- a great, friendly town about 7 miles out of Stratford.
