Does anyone have any advice on any good primary schools, theres so much diverse factual information...Iv'e read that Grasmere and St. Marys are the top but do anyone have any personal experiences/ experiences of other schools?

It only really matters if you are trying to move there; the catchment areas are so tiny are unlikely to have a choice otherwise. Of the ones I have seen I liked Grasmere by far the most but it is very white and middle class; Benthal sounds very good too. WPatten and BLayward used to be top picks but have had bad ofsteds in the last round. No-one can choose your school for you though, go and look!

i am planning to move and also have open days booked in the next two weeks for grasmere and betty layward. my problem is that im in the catchment area for benthal already so trying to get some personal experiences from other mothers of the schools mentioned.

Jubilee is a great school. Mixed intake socially and diverse too. Very creative - lots of art, drama, music opportunities.

Hard working staff! Grin
