Hi, (sorry in advance for long story!)

After school on Thursday, my DS (6) told me about an incident which really worried me...
Once a week, around 6 kids and a teacher from his school walk to a local school for disabled children to spend time with them. This school is about 300 meters walk away, with a minor road to cross. Apparently DS and a classmate, also 6, were unsure where they were supposed to be going and were late joining group. Their class teacher told them to "hurry along and try and catch up". The group were already well on their way, DS told me how he and his friend walked out of school,up the hill and crossed the road alone, eventually catching up with the teacher, who then said that she had no idea that they were following her!!!! Haven't been in to school since finding this out,as DS unwell...but wondering how I should approach this? Contacted Mum of DS's classmate, who tells the same story!

That isn't acceptable and is a serious child protection issue, health and safety issue and is negligent of their duty of care. What were they thinking!
