Mini white board

Any ideas where i can get one of these?

It would need to be magnetic. Have reception magnetic key words but nowhere to put them.

Last week I bought a magnetic board with letters from the Early Learning Centre. We use it to practice spellings in Y1. Not sure whether it can be used as a whiteboard as well. Its blue with white lines on it.

Our fridge has a wooden door. I thought about using our oven, but thought better of crap idea.

WH Smiths have them. They are fab. Kids do all their spellings on them.

Buy a cheap, shallow roasting tin from the pound shop. We use them in the classroom. Take a magnet with you though, to check they are magnetic!

I bought a metal tray for ours (as littlefish indicates, having taken a word to test it wasn't aluminium). Has the advantage that once the child doesn't need it, I've got an extra tray rather than junk!

If you're stuck short term for something to use magnetic letters etc on... chocolate tin lids work well.

WH Smiths used to have a nice one about A4 size for about a fiver. Substantial as I am still using mine after more than 5 years of tutoring. I could do with investing in a new one soon though as the paint has begun to scratch!

We brought the ELC magnetic letter desk, the lid is the magnetic board and it comes out. Has the added advantage of giving you somewhere to store the letters and doubles as a chalk boasrd and paper storage.
