DSS2 used to do ping-pong in a club at that age.

He is absolutely FANTASTICALLY good at it now!

Eats, homework, eats, PS3, argues, eats. It's worse in the winter, but he has footy practice 3 times a week.

Eats, computer (facebook, music etc), eats some more, homework, guitar practice, more food, more computer/tv etc etc. He's 13 now, but it hasn't changed much for the last couple of years.

He does climbing, which is sometimes evenings but most often weekends, but otherwise doesn't do any organised activities in the evenings. School plus homework plus downtime seems plenty.

It's the "downtime" thing DS has trouble with (unless it involves computer games). I guess i'm needing quiet cheap things he can do at home.

DS likes drawing and designing stuff. He also likes having a bash at cooking -he has started to chop veg and make a stew. I agree it's hard though. If it was summer he would be out with his mates playing footy.

Choir and sports training.
Eating, TV, endless bloody homework.
