Heathside Prep School NW3 Admissions

Hi there,

I am expecting my first child in March 2014 and am very interested in enrolling them in Hampstead Heathside school but have no idea about the steps I should take to secure our DS/DD (?) a position ... there or at any other school in the area as I hear it is quite competitive. I have left a message to arrange a tour of the school and awaiting a call back but apart from that what else should I be doing?

I don't know any other mothers in the area just yet so am not sure about best practice in this field.

In general is it too early to be looking into this and if not how many schools should one apply to (as the majority require registration fees to do so and this can add up!)?

Also, will myself and my husband be assessed to see if we are the right kind of parents to be a part of the school and if so what sort of thing are they looking for?

Any advise on this process and local school recommendations very welcome.

I think all you can do is contact the school and look at their website and another thing you can do is go down to the school and talk to the receptionist and parents coming out of the school and that way you will get more of an idea
