Hi all,
I am about 3 months pregnant and I am suffering terribly with sore breats. I have been lucky otherwise, no morning sickness etc but my breasts are a real problem. I cant sleep on my front or my side as it is too painful and if i am outside in the cold my nipples feel extremely painful too. Has anyone any advice on how to reduce breast pain....it would be appreciated!
Thanks

Oh crikey I totally know how you feel, I had painful sore breasts until at least 6 months! Ohhhh. Hopefully yours will subside before that though.

I had to wear a bra to bed at night. I can't think of anything that releived the pain except that one day it just lessened. I did have to buy several different bra sizes as I increased cup size about 3 times, and also the circumference of my rib cage got bigger later on too. I was just uncomfy most of the time.

I found trying to get a bra that didn't have a seam over the nipple area helped, but then it felt like (to me anyway) that they were out there for show. I am used to wearing a lightly padded underwired bra.
Someone will have pain relieving tips for you, I just know it's yucky and hope it passes for you soon xxx

I'm with you Bozz17 - only mine hasn't been constant, but every couple days my nipples especially are agonising. I'm having one of those days today. (15+4 and hoping sore boobs will stop soon!)

I find a little bit of nipple cream (Kamillosane I think its called) and then put a cotton wool pad over the top before I put my bra on so there isn't any chaffing or rubbing helps a bit...

Otherwise I have no idea. I'm going to go for a bra fitting this week incase bras have got too tight and thats making it worse... worth a shot? I'm quite big, 32FF before pregnant, and they feel much bigger this week, I really hope I don't get too enormous in the boob area though - concerned about going into non-wired bras, really don't want boobs down by my belly button. A trip to Bravissimo is called for I think....

Anyway, hope something helps you - its miserable in pain isn't it.

Thanks for the replies. Think I will get some of that cream and go for a bra fitting, maybe getting a variety of bra types to see that helps. In the meantime I will grin and bear it! I tell you....who needs to pay for a boob job! lol xx
