Pregnancy

after 16 long months of ttc...

I finally got my first BFP today!! Period was due yesterday and I was weirdly excited to test this morning, like I knew it was finally my turn. DH didn't believe me at first and had to read the test instructions about ten times before he did, and even then he wanted to go out to the shops to get some more! (he's now in bed after drinking my share of the celebratory champagne )

I know its still very early days and that there are no guarantees, but after 16 months it just feels good to be pregnant even for one day .

dare't get my hopes up too much yet though, knowing how hard it was to get here, and its been a long time since my early first flushes of excitement about ttc when I read about pregnancy, so I'm not sure what 'm meant to do and not do now... some reminders would be very welcome

also, would we be crazy to tell DH's parents in a couple of days time? I know its really early days but if something goes wrong I would like some support and I think DH would need it too

Congratulations!
I know you're not supposed to say anything until you know for sure all is well but...I told the whole world within a couple of weeks. Maybe would wait longer next time but when you're excited it's so hard not to tell!
Except my boss of course- I was waiting for a decision on a pay rise
16 months of TTC must have been really tough. So pleased for you.

Congratulations and good luck, Tiredfeet!

Enjoy the moment, but don't rush it - savour every moment (Including the 'no one knows but me / us moment...)

I didn't really get the 'no one knows' moment, but the bit I did get, I enjoyed!!

Happy Pregnancy!

thank you everyone, I am crying a bit reading your messages, hormones and joy I think! It has been such a long and sometimes tough 16 months, for both of us, but at least hopefully it will make me apppreciate this all the more

and glad I'm not the only one to want to tell a few people very soon!!

Congratulations

I told family very early on with all three of my pregnancies.

Congratulations

And tell close family and friends if you want to - we did, as figured if something went wrong we'd tell them/get support. Although it was lovely to have the news to ourselves for just a few days .

Savour the excitment

Congratulations and well done. It took us ages too, and I know only too well the feelings of diappointment and resignation having chucked the latest batch of negative tests in the bin. So make sure you take a photo of that lovely blue line

Hope everything goes well for you x

Congratulations, isn't it a great feeling?!

Definitely tell your closest family and maybe a very few close friends. Afterall you'd surely need support from them if the worst happened (speaking from experience).

Enjoy it and good luck x
