Earliest pregnancy symptoms - all in my head?

I'm on day 26 of my cycle which can last up to 31 days - I'd say 29 or 30 days was average but I've only been off the pill for 5 months so its difficult to tell my usual cycle and had an early miscarriage at 6.5 weeks in November. I'm feeling extremely tired and very hungry all the time but pregnancy test was negative this afternoon. Could it be that I tested too early at the wrong time of day and is it possible to feel this tired and hungry only 11 or 12 days after conception? Everything I read online says early symptoms don't start till 3 weeks after conception. I'm very hopeful but could this all be in my head?

I wonder if its all in my head too. Funny stomach pains quite high up all day long and starving... probably means nothing! I wish I could test today.

i am in the same boat as you
i am about 8-9 DPO and AF isnt due until NYE so i am far too early to test but i have symptoms galore i am STARVING and rather hormonal, i feel quite bloated low down... i am up to cycle 26 TTC#2 so i should be used to early signs being red herrings but its too tempting to symptom spot to break up the boring 2 wek wait
i would say you have tested too early and test again in a few days

I felt I was pregnant at 5dpo but not symptoms, felt implantation cramps at 10 or 11 dpo and had symptoms from 12 dpo.

I knew I was pregnant within days of conception. With my ds, they had told us that dh had no sperm (had had a vasectomy reversal that supposedly had failed). So it took 2 weeks from conception for me to finally decide a mistake had been made and take a pregnancy test. I had been sure I was pregnant for at least a week at that point and. I was ravenously hungry with days of conception and starting to feel nauseous as well.

I tested the day my period was due and got a negative. But the whole of the next week I didn't quite think that could be right - I had a lot of discharge which I vaguely remembered happening the last time I was PG.

I also had the bloodhound nose, and was on the tube feeling peaky and thinking everyone around me really stank.

I did a test the following week which turned out to be positive.

I knew the day after I had conceived - I went off my favourite drink, put the milk in the microwave and had a funny taste in my mouth.

4 weeks later I got my BFP! (BTW I tested before my period was late and got negatives, once my period was late I got positives)

mama2moo - do you know how many dpo you were the day after you conceived?

I'm not sure. Presumably I was ovulating when I conceived? So when I talk about knowing within days of conception, I mean within days of ovulation.

Im havent a clue how I work that out nappyaddict.

My LMP was the 26th of April and I conceived on the 5th of May if thats any help. I 'knew on the 6th of May'.

Period like pains very low in my abdomen and shooting pains on either side 5dpo... no other real symptoms except my husband told me this morning that my boobs look huge! :p

Too early to take a test but can i feel a little bit hopefull?

Unfortunately it was a false alarm. Got AF on Boxing day. It seems my PMT symptoms mimic those of early pregnancy.

The problem is no point in reading too much into these early symptoms as they can be PMT or a chemical pregnancy.

In terms of knowing the day after conception (ie when egg and sperm join) well the egg wouldn't have implanted yet, so you could "conceive" but then end up not being pregnant as the egg fails to implant properly.

Grrr I still haven't got my AF but all HPTs are negative.

I'm due on in 3 days. All pregnancy tests are negative but I have some symptoms and I don't know if it's all in my head or because I'm due on! I've had vivid dreams every night for the past 4-5 days and I remember all of them now. My hair feels greasy hours after washing, mild abdominal pains although 2 days ago I got a shooting pain that scared me. I'm yawning all the time. Just going to the shops makes me tired. For about a week I wasn't able to sleep before 3am and now I'm falling asleep through the day and before 9pm. I didn't have any mood swings until 3 days ago. I went from being ok to angry then crying. Now I just feel like I'm on the verge of crying. I've had slight pain in my lower back and alot more pain in my knees. I have nausea but not all the time, I feel better once I've eaten and when I do eat I am starving! Slight cravings but mainly one particular thing (pittas and houmous) I have more discharge then usual which is a milky white. We had sex on two of my fertile days and on my ovulation day. I only came off the pill the month before. I feel like I'm going crazy :(

Stacey871 it's not crazy to get signs really early on - if the tests are saying no there's a chance it's still too early to detect as the hcg in your body might not be strong enough for a pregnancy test to pick up. I could tell I was pregnant pretty much straight after we conceived, I had tiredness, the weird taste in my mouth, and my boobs started hurting pretty much straight away - my partner thought I was being over optimistic and so did my best friend but I just knew and then right on schedule I missed my period and the test was positive! no one knows your body better than you so if you think you are then take another test in a couple of weeks and see! Xxx

Thanks, Actually forgot about the odd metallic taste o keep getting and my books seem bigger but who knows haha

@stacey871 wow you have literally described everything the same as me.....I can't get enough of the Pitta and humus ! i also have a urge for white chocolate and I'm not normally someone that eats a lot/fancies it.

I'm due on Saturday so fingers crossed
