I believe it is an early sign of pregnancy. Mind you, I have a cautionary tale...we're ttc and this week my left breast was suddenly REALLY sore. I was at work, so just carried on as normal, but when it kept on hurting I started to think, 'well...I wonder if....' I'd heard that breasts can become fantastically sore in early pregnancy and this one was definitely agony. I was quite cheered by the thought and eventually popped to the loo just to sneak a quick peek to see if my nipples had suddenly become gigantic/changed colour/whatever too.

Regrettably, as I rummaged around with my hands down my top, a large shard of French bread crust from lunch fell out of my bra.

Am not pregnant, it seems - just a messy eater.

Mine were SO sore in early pregnancy with DS. However, I am pregnant again and they didn't hurt a bit this time. I think it's supposed to be due to the surge of hormones in early pregnancy causing all sorts of changes to your body. Apparently I didn't get sore boobs the second time as my body was already used to the hormones.
Never experienced sore boobs with ovulation.

I am pregnant with number 6 and only this time have I ever experienced sore boobs. Not at ov time or any other.

Hope you get the result you want.

I had mega sore boobs and nipples from 3DPO and like Liah I knew straight off that I must be pregnant because O have never had this before. But I know it is common for some women to have tender breasts around ovulation and every cycle is different. I hope you get your BFP though

I can tell I am pg from the feeling in my breasts. It is a very specific sort of pain/feeling that I only get in the early stages of pg.
