A bit of a silly question about baby's position

Well, a few weeks ago, I was really adamant that I could tell exactly how my baby was lying. Am 33 weeks pg with my third.

At my last 2 mw appointments, she said the baby was breech. I thought it was strange, only because DD1 and DD2 were lying the same way, kicking roughly at the same places by the same gestional age. But then again, mw knows her job, so if she says baby is breech, then fair enough.

I had doubts at the back of my mind, but keep thinking "nah surely not, mw must be right".

This breech business has me quite worried, I must admit, and will confess to some serious googling about it.

ANyway, about 5 minutes ago, baby had hiccups. I called Dp to feel them, and explained that to feel the hiccups, he had to put his hand right under my bump, just above my pelvic bone. You couldn't have felt them from anywhere else.

So my question is (fiiiiinally!!): do you reckon this baby is still breech then? I have got a big lump to the right hand side of my bump, at the top, and kicks are a bit everywhere. Mw says it's the head, but why do I feel hiccups only right under the bump?
(am talking, lift bump, put hand, release bump sort of place).

Is it some kind of "arse hiccups" or something?

Hmmmm.........it's really hard to say. I really would try not to worry too much though. At 33 weeks baby still has a good few weeks left to turn around, and presumably if your mw still thinks baby is breech at your next appointment she'll send you for a scan to confirm (which she hopefully would have done this time if she was concerned) In the meantime you can always try the standard things they tell you to get baby in the right position........sleep on your left side/spend a bit of time on all fours/sit with your hipe higher than your knees etc.

When it comes to hiccups I guess they probably cause the baby's whole body to move and not just his head?

Am really laughing at "arse hiccups".

May not be what you would want to hear, but my baby's head is engaged (due last Weds) and last night could feel hiccups right near top of my bump. Mine must have the dreaded arse hiccpus too...
