as some of you know im traing to be a doula and childbirth educater.
i am offering ante/post natal doula care at discount prices as i need to attend several births as part of my training.
i am based in the london area.

Could you give an idea of how much it'd be? We were thinking of a doula as there's no one to look after ds except dh, so I might well be having number 2 alone. But I really haven't decided if its the right thing for me to have one.Or if we can afford it! But if you could CAT me a few more details I'd be grateful!

Please excuse my ignorance but what is a doula?

hi nat, a doula is a woman who supports a woman emotionaily and pysically before during and after childbirth.ie working together on birth plans, providing up to date info to enable a woman to make an informed choice if she so wishes.
a doula offers support throughout the birth in a non medical capasity ie massage,positioning,encouragement,empowering partners.basically enableing you to strive for the experiance you want in a realistic and encouraging mannor.
a doula can also offer postnatal support whether it be housework,emotional support,looking after the family so you can rest,whatever you need really.
