Itchy back at 30 weeks

I'm 30 weeks on Monday and for the pat week or so, I've had an itchy back. On the odd occasion right shoulder and my right arm as well. Its by no means all the time and there is no rash with it. Is this normal pregnancy itching in 3rd trimester, the heat or could it be OC? I've recently come back from a 2 week holiday in Italy and although baking hot out there, I wasn't itching at all.

Midwife "didn't have time" to take my 28 wk bloods so I'm having them next Fri on the 24th when I have my anti-D. Should I hang on until then or book an appt with my GP? We had a 4D scan on Tuesday and all is well with the baby-he currenly weighs 3.9lbs and should be around 9lbs according to birth so all well at the moment.

Its really puzzling me-I have no itching elsewhere and its not like I'm scratching myself red raw or anything, it's just on my back sometimes.

OC is typically on the soles of the feet and palms of hands, and like yours, no rash. Not that you don't itch elsewhere as well, but this tends to be where its worst, and worse at night too.

If its bearable and doesn't get any worse, I'd probably wait till you see the midwife. But if you are at all concerned, make an appt to see the Doc.
