Pregnancy

I have yet another headache, could it be the weather or the fact that I am as huge as a house?

I am 36+4 today and feel as big as a house lol.

Yesterday I had 3 separate headaches with visual disturbances with each. My BP is fine as it has been throughout my pregnancy, I have checked my BP again today (on dads BP machine) and it 100/60, yesterday it was 104/56. I am now experiencing my second headache with visual disturbances.

Do I need to be worried about this I know it can be a sign of pre eclampsia but my BP is fine.

Could it be the heat??

could be the heat, but I'd ring the midwife to get checked out, then you get some piece of mind

It probably is the heat but I'd ask the midwife to check your BP, dip your urine and listen in to baby. Do you have any swelling face? hands? feet? Is baby moving okay? Does the headache resolve with pain killers? Any pain below your ribs? Pre-eclampsia can come on quite suddenly and I would get checked over if I was you.

I am a bit sore below my ribs but no pain as such IYSWIM, feet and ankles are massive, hands are slightly swollen, no swelling of my face. Head ache doesn't really completely go with pain killers, they just tend to take the edge off it TBH.

Baby is moving and I'm having lots of braxton hicks. They dipped my urine yesterday (had appointment with consultant and a growth scan) it came back NAD, not sure what that is but I am assuming it means okay as they never said anything lol.

Dad has left his BP machine for me and BP is still showing as fine.

NAD means 'no abnormalities detected' In this case they would be looking for protein as raised BP + protein in urine = pre-eclampsia. It's your call, when is your next appointment? Why did you have a growth scan? Do you normally suffer from headaches?

Next appointment is a week on Monday (I will be 38+3 by then) I might wait and see how I am feeling later and ring then to speak to a midwife.
I had a growth scan as my fundal height measurements are small for my dates apparently. But scan was absolutely fine and baby is the right size for my dates

Are you drinking enough - dehydration can cause headaches?

NL, yep am drinking pint after pint of water and juice watered down and ice pops. Could murder a pint of lager though

I don't normally suffer with headaches but generally when I do get them they tend to be bad ones. I haven't had any since the beginning of this pg, then yesterday I ended up in bed early with one, not like me TBH.

I think you're wise to talk to a midwife then - just in case. Hope all is well though.
