totally confused

So, ive been to the gp. The test was negative. I was told to come back if my period still hasnt arrived. My period still hasnt arrived and i am NEVER late. I am not stressed, well not before all this drama started. I eat well etc..
I am becoming more and more tired, i am urinating more frequently, i am feeling more hungry than usual. I havent had my usual period symptons, and i get pretty bad period pains etc. My lower back is slightly achy, i dont feel sick. My breats are more tender than usual and as i am a woman of colour i have noticed a slight change around my nipples. Overall i am confused because i know my body and nothing makes sense right now. I feel pregnant but yet the test says i am not.
We havent 'tried' to concieve. Tbh i am surprised i am even late as we only had sex once and we havent had sex for months. My period was due on 1st May, the day i had sex was the 25th of April.
I havent got a clue when i ovulate because i am not trying to concieve and do not not my fertility dates.

Please help me understand. I intend on having another test on mon if my period hasnt come by then, tbh i dont think it will.

when did you do the test? was it an hpt or did the GP take blood?

it was a urine sample, tues 5th @ 4.20 pm.

Me and my partner did ot use contraception and i went to the Gp.

I suggest you do a home preg test with first morning urine

The GP test could have been a false negative as you were only 4 days late and it wasn't first morning urine

do you think? The reason i am so confused is because i did a test at the gps when i was preg with my ds and that was late in the afternoon also. Mind you i was futher into my pregnancy then so i guess my hcg levels were much higher.
When will be the best time to do another test?

i was 6 weeks pregnant by the time i noticed i had missed my period.

It sounds like you could have a UTI, it's worth doing another pregnancy test and taking in a urine sample so they can check it for you.

Ive just googled UTI and no i dont have that. I have no infections at all whatsoever. And none of the symptons ive read apart from passing urine more frequently is similar to my symptons.

If you ovulated late, it is possible...but it could just be an off cycle. Your period may show up late, or you may skip this month...it happens sometimes for no apparent reason.

Go ahead and try another test on Monday if still no period. If still negative, see what happens next month when your period is due. If you feel you are still having possible pregnancy symptoms, after another week or so, try another test (some women don't get a positive result for several weeks), or ask your gp about having a blood test done. Ask about a quantitative one that will give you an actual level of hcg and not just a positive or negative result.
