Honey is supposed to be as effective as over the counter medicines for coughs.

TBH arena cough medicine is shite, pg or not. Try a drink made up of hot water, lemon juice and honey and sip it slowly. Suck on a boiled sweet to keep your throat lubricated. Try eating some ice cream.

All above helped me

I went to my local chemist and asked pharmacist if he had any lozenges that are safe during pregnancy - Olbas blackcurrant pastilles were the only ones I could take apparently, and really helped clear my throat, sinuses and lungs. Or check with your local chemist. Otherwise that is it - or remedies like hot fluids with honey and lemon, gargling with salt water if throat is painful, or paracetamol if anything hurts. If your throat is very dry, you can also try steam inhalations - pour boiling water into bowl, put towel over head, and inhale (be careful not to burn yourself with hot steam).
