Hey. Im hoping some ladies can give me a bit of advice or if something similar has happenend to anybody else.

My AF was due on the 15th March however no show. I did an asda test last fri nite which when i turned at a funny angle and in the light im sure looked like a BFP. (My DP said it was neg and i could see an evaporation line)

So we left it and i did a Clearblue Digital on Sun nite (been told these are best and very sensative) and this come back with a BFN.

So we are now on Fri nite again and im 12 days late and still no sign of AF. I keep getting tummy cramps as if AF is going to arrive. I feel nauseas alot and tired.
(I thought i should mention i suffer from PCOS which was really bad before i had my DS but have since got more regular.)

When should i test again???
Does anybody believe that thinking bout AF does delay it???

x

How long did you leave the test before seeing the line? Sometimes you can get an evaporation line if you read the test after the time suggested on the instructions.

Maybe wait another week and test again, tough I know but sometiimes our bodies just mess with us.

Heve you come off the pill recently? that can sometimes mess up your periods.

good luck, hope you DO get the bfp.

hey thanx beanieb for reply.

I read the test in the time i was meant to which is why i read it as a positive.
I thought it might just my body playing games. Sometimes think im reading into the preg signs to much which are making it them seem more real if that makes sense.

Will leave it as long as i can but the not knowing is tough.

Can I ask how you know you are 'late'? Do you know when you ovulated and how long your luteal phase is normally?

I ask because I have PCOS too, and have very irregular cycles. Even though it was getting better before I got pregnant, sometimes I'd have the odd cycle where I didn't ovulate at all and then my period took forever to come.

My experience was that I ovulated on a different day every time, and sometimes quite late in my cycle. Maybe you are pregnant, but it's just too early to tell?

A similar thing happened to me - I was pretty regular at 29 or 30 days, and TTC for 5 months. I'd been feeling sick, had sore boobs which was really unusual for me, and I was completely convinced I must be pregnant.

Tested at 12 days post ovulation, and again at 14, then another week later. all negative. I was absolutely convinced they were wrong.

unfortunatley my period arrived at 42 days, no reason for me to be late at all, just a blib on my cycle for no reason. I don't think it was even a CP, i was using very sensitive tests and it didn't show even vaguely positive.

if it helps at all, that was the thing that prompted me to get an ovulation monitor, and I fell pregnant the very next month.

If you know when you ovulated then test about 20 days later, this would definitely show positive if you are. if you don't know, then try 2 weeks after you were due on. after that it's probably worth going to see your doctor just to make sure.

hope it's positive news for you, but don't torture yourself over it, just wait and see and good luck!
