Is anyone else suffering this symptom?

I am 28 weeks pg with DC2.

At various times throughout the day my pulse rate goes up to about 100, heart feels like it's beating out of my chest. It's normally worse when I get up in the mornings.

It often makes me feel anxious and breathless.

I ended up on delivery suite the other night (for a different reason) and they didn't seem concerned that my pulse rate was up in the 100's but it feels horrible.

Is anyone else experiencing it?

Yep it drives me mad. I get a bit short of breath and it can come on at any time, even at rest. My pulse goes up to 120 sometimes!!

Oh thank god. It's reassuring to know even one other person gets it!

Mine is the same, can come on when at rest too.

Do you just ride it out or is there anything that makes it better?

I'm trying to avoid too much caffeine, sugar etc.

When I was pregnant last time I was investigated for it as sometimes my pulse was irregular (seems to be regular this time). They put it down to placental/hormonal changes and it disappeared at about 33 weeks.

At the moment I am just riding it out but if it gets worse I might see someone about it. (Tis McDreamy from the Feb thread here btw)!!

Yes i have this and had it in both my other pgs. Feels like someone is thumping on your chest at times. When i was last in labour i ended up with a heart monitiors and all sorts of drs in the room.
But i do get it when not pregnant sometimes but def increases with pg was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. Suffering from it again so have to be under consultant care but appart from the feelings you get when it happens you should be ok. i have been told not to worry.

Had this with first pg, and was hospitalised with constant hb of between 100-120. Diagnosed with anaemia, which may/may not have caused it. It was much worse after birth and heavy blood loss, then disappeared about a week post delivery. I sympathise, it was horrible!
