Trilastin for Stretch marks?

wasn't sure where to post this one really!

i am 14 wks post natal and am getting really down about my stretch marks

i used bio-oil my whole pregnancy and not one mark until 38wks when i got a few low down. however once DS was born and my tummy shrunk pretty quick they have got much worse! still using bio-oil daily. DH says they are getting lighter but i can't stand looking at them! i think they are so bad cause i lost my babay weight quick.

Just wondering if anyone has used trilastin? i think it's from the us only, although not sure

They fade in time but I don't believe anything gets rid of them or prevents them.

No not at all. I'll let you into a secret- I actually cried when I first saw my stretch marks in my pregnancy- my flat smooth stomach was my best feature. Now its crinkly and wobbly and I've only had 1 DC. I still feel sad about it but I have come to terms with it. I do have particularly bad ones though.
Cream and bio oil etc does help to fade them and with some people they become barely noticeable over time.

Just a little feel good comment.... if no one minds

Ds (now 6) calls them 'mummy stripes'
Sums it up right?

Lib

i know EXACTLY how you feel

all my life i have had a flat tummy (made me feel better for having such a HUGE bum!!!)

no stretch marks until 37 weeks last time and they started quite low down and then started to 'flame' up my belly at an alarming rate.

to say i was upset is a slight understatement - i stopped flashing my pregnant belly and would cry every time i saw my post preggers stretched and crinkly tum.

BUT.... i can honestly say that by about 9 months later they had all but faded to little silvery lines and the crepe paper effect had also disappeared - so much so that i wore a bikini on our summer hols when DS was 9 months - something i thought i would never do when i first saw them.

THEY DO FADE

i had some advice that when they are still purple/red creams can help a bit but once they turn silver/pink there is nothing you can do so keep slapping on that cream.

36 weeks with number 2 at moment and have a whole new set to contend with - however this time i am not worried because i know that they do go away - even it does take a few months of covering them up!!!!

HTH

Hi,

I used to have pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but unfortunately it didn't seem to work too well. My Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It took a number of weeks but my stretch marks soon faded away. You can read the lady's article at the link below.

I haven't even had children and I have stretch marks from fast growth i my teens. I get upset about them, how bad would if get if I did get pg However I was looking into the fixing options myself and as you say Tti Lastin looks pretty good, its been on Tyra Banks show and has had rave reviews, mybe the people of Great Britain should petition them to send a boat load over here
