Have found myself feeling very sick at about the same time every night. Used depo after my first child and never felt like this. My second child is 4mths so could i just be tired?

I found that the depo made me feel like I was pregnant. I got strong symptoms (cost me a fortune in paranoid tests). I wasn't - I was told by my GP that this can happen in some women. As a result I stopped having the injections. There is a slight chance you could be, but it's very unlikely. Perhaps test if you think you are; or go to your GP and talk it through and they'll test you if they think you are. Good luck

It is very unlikely!! I used to have this injection. I moved to France for a while and was due to have the injection by my French Doctor, he said that he would only give it to me that once and then after that I would have to find something else as he refused to give it to me again. They had to order it in from England for me and he said that that injection is what they give to cattle in France to stop cows getting pregnant!!!

So if it works on cows, then I'm sure it works on humans. It also made me put on 4 stone, so after that last time I never went near the evil stuff ever again.

The failure rate is low. But IIRC one of the risks if it does fail is ectopic pregnancy, so I would test to be sure. Also, for me, long-term use has caused problems with bone density so I would look for an alternative beyond the short term.
