Pregnancy

Does small baby first time round mean small baby second time round?

Just wondering if some people (ie me!) just make small babies. Ds was only 5lb 11oz full term. I was given no reason for this - had a healthy pregnancy, don't smoke or drink. The fundus measurement had been apparently accurate all the way through pg. I'm now 28 weeks with dc2 and again am measuring exactly as I should, but can't help wondering whether I'll have another one on the smaller side. Anyone had experience?

My DD1 was 7lb full term, measured normal all through, DD2 was 9lb 1.5 oz and measured normal all the way through no bigger. Midwives all the way through said DD2 was going to be same weight as DD1.So was a big shock.

My first (dd) was 4lb 9oz and my second (ds)was 7lb 1oz, so they can be bigger second time My ds was on the middle growth line through out my pregnancy. I'm expecting a third and it has been growing just under the middle line this whole pregnancy.

Thanks for your replies. I'm feeling bigger (although that could just be the slackened muscles from last time! this time around so it'll be interesting to see.

ds1 was 6lbs 4oz and was 3 days late. Ds2 was 9lbs 3oz and was 5 days early. I thought I was bigger because my muscles were knackered!! Felt smaller third time and ds3 was 8lbs 3oz (2 days late).
