I'm only 8 weeks pg but I'm so so so tired. I was like this with my last two pregnancies and it completely wiped me out. I'm so tired today that I've actually sneeked (sp) away to the ladies loo's to shut my eyes for 10 minutes but nothing seems to be helping!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to combat this?

acupuncture really helped - as well as giving into it .. just going to bed early taking it as easy as poss. And you're right nothing helps but it did pass after a few weeks.

Don't have two other children running round . Seriously I've been so knackered this pregnancy I have no advice but you are not alone.

Gosh I am so so impressed that you are going through this a third time! This is my second PG and although I'm feeling better now, I felt so awful that I was clock watching from the minute I woke up to when I could go to bed again. Hell. It went on until about 33 weeks and has put me off going for another baby although we did want 3. I say applaude yourself - you are a bigger woman than I (not literally of course!)!

Hello, probably worth mentioning it to midwife or Doc, in case it's iron deficiency (anaemia).

I second that. I felt like this and my midwife told me that as she had already taken my bloods so they could not drop so quickly 5 weeks later at 30 weeks after 30 weeks of sleeping all the bloody time and being wiped out and telling her at every appointment she says the hospital that did your bloods at 28 weeks found you are anaemic! so am on iron tablets and have to hope I recover in time for the birth as it is not good to give birth deficient in iron, and i'm always sleeping.

I mean the first 3 months you expect to be tired, but I could not even face washing dishes and If I got out anywhere I have to come back and sleep to get over it. hope you feel better soon and it is only first trimester tiredness you have
