Feeling of room spin

I have been getting this on and off for the last 10 days or so. It started during the night when trying to turn over which I thought I was just doing a bit too fast so slowed down. I now get it most mornings when I get up first thing (fair enough, may be hungry) but now I am getting it just sitting watching the TV. Sometimes it just happens and other times it happens if I have moved my head too quick.

I am drinking and eating plenty do it is not that but I wonder if anyone here has had anything similar?

The rest of my body is absolutely fine - could the baby be sitting on some nerve?

Could it be low blood pressure?

I had a lot of dizzy spells in pg,due to low blood pressure.

I've had occasional headshocks throughout this pregnancy - can be when I'm moving about or still, standing or sitting, whatever. Just for a second everything goes all wobbly and weird and seems to shift slightly to one side, then I'm fine again.

No idea what causes it, but it's probably not a problem although obv get it checked out if you're worried.

I had this when my sinuses were blocked. Everytime I bent down and stood up I felt dizzy and sick.

I think it sounds like low blood pressure.

I had this, particularly worrying after a long day at work I was driving home.

I also found at night that if I lay on my back the weight blocked the nerves in my spine and I went a bit "funny".

Get yourself checked by the MW. Congratulations btw. When are you due?

Thanks everyone. Got MW on Tuesday so will run it by her then. 3 weeks to go. Getting fed up now as I just want to meet him!

Sounds silly but I didn't want to phone hospital tonight as husband is at work 2 hours away and I don't feel up to driving the 40 minutes if they asked me to go in!

Is it fairly constant then? I got the impression it was occassional which mine was - maybe once or twice a day between 5 - 7m after that I just had the spinal block thing

Are you sure you have eaten enough? Go and have something else now and some more water. If you are still getting it regularly I think you need to go in and get checked out.

Sounds like low blood pressure as others have suggested. What's your blood pressure been like so far? Mine normally 110/60-70. I had relexology the other day and practically passed out. Spoke to MW about it and she said it was probably low blood pressure because I was relaxed. Might be similar if you are having it when you get up in the morning, relaxing in front of the tv etc...worth chatting to MW though just to get checked out and put your mind at rest...

I think it could be labyrynthitis

I agree, low blood pressure - I get this when I'm not pg. But also get the ears checked out - I have ear problems and they can cause all sorts of dizziness.

I have this on and off (34 weeks) and its always worse if I'm dehydrated. My BP isn't particularly low but is def lower than before I was preggers so mw said this could be it. Drink some water! Good luck x
