Light bleeding in early pregnancy

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have had some light bleeding. I have been under the early pregnancy unit since i found out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I had bad period type cramping pains from the start. They have done 2 scans so far and they have found a sac and the start of a feotus and hormone levels in blood was normal. But they did find a cyst in right ovary which they have said is 3cm. Ive got another scan in a week as they should be able to see heart beat by then and they want a registra to check my cyst but now ive had this bleeding and because its the weekend my only medical option is to go to A & E. But thats pointless as they will just tell me to rest and wait to see someone tomorrow. This is my fourth pregnancy and i had no cramping or bleeding with the others .. just doesnt feel right. Has anyone else experience anything like this .. some advice please

i had very light spotting at 8 weeks in my 4th pregnancy, and also alot of cramping etc.i was told it was because ligamets were stretching etc(the pain).

i also had light bleeding from 5-8 weeks with my 5th baby,as well as lots of crampy pain.i had early scans which were all fine, and dd3 is now 13 months old and perfectly happy and healthy.

im sure you will feel better when you see the heartbeat, but from what i can gather light bleeding in early pregnancy is quite common, and usually nothing to worry about

Doesanyone think the bleeding could be anything to do with the cyst?

Reban, please try not to worry and make sure you are resting.

You are right that the hospital are unlikely to do anything over a weekend unfortunately.

Many pregnancies include bleeding and many continue successfully, take heart from this and that you can not influence the outcome of this pregnancy.

Good luck and hope everything is ok.

I bled 3 or 4 times in the first 4 months of my pregnancy, each time I went for an emergency scan and there was no reason for it, baby was fine. Try to rest but if it gets worse or more painful don't wait til monday. Its worth seeing someone monday regardless just for peace of mind, also cysts on the ovaries can cause bleeding, that is one of the things they checked me for. Best of luck.
