Anybody else had this...

I keep getting these twinges in my groin, and I think they are braxton hicks, but they are getting a little bit stronger. They started on Sat night. I dont want to ring the hospital as they made me feel really stupid last time I rang up about a pain in my right leg.

Im only 28 weeks pregnant and I really think I'm worrying about nothing, but just wanted to see if anyone else has had this.

Hi Carey87

I had the same with my ds, think it was him bouncing up an down on my pelvic floor! Used to make me wince and do a "cor!" sound

Never had bh so don't know what they feel like personally but always thought they were more in your bump than in the groin.

Maybe mention it to your midwife next time you have an appointment to be on the safe side.

Thats exactly what I'm doing! The girl sitting next to me has gone white as I keep making the 'cor' sounds and jumping every other minute!

Thank you xx

do you think that you could have a bladder infection?
that causes much discomfort.
Also ligaments stretching is another good one for pain.
when is your next midwife app?

Tuesday next week. My midwife is only at my docs once a week (on a Tuesday between 11 and 12.30, is this normal?)

I first thought it could be round ligament pain but someone told me that they usually stop by about week 24.

I've had the same thing every now and then. The pain really makes you wince, no? My midwife seemed to think it was a stretching pain because for me it happened when I was moving round and doing things.

If you're worried though and you don't want to wait till Tues, call your midwife for reassurance. I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

By the way, I also have midwife appointments on a Fri pm when they have a surgery at the doctor's - just seems to be the way they do things in some areas I guess.
