Bloody nose in morning...

For the last week, I have woken up with my nose filled with blood. Has anyone else had this? Is it something to do with blood pressure (I normally have low blood pressure)? From someone who is 25+4weeks and still being sick every day.

wow, i could have posted this, you are my twin. i asked my midewife about it, and she said it was probably not to do with my blood pressure going up, more likely just hormones and extra blood that pg gives you. i also am always feeling sick, although am going days!!!! not being sick so it is a lot better than it was. i thought that the cyclazine i was taking for the sickness made the nosebleeds but i still get them when i don't take it. i am 24 weeks btw. ask your midwife and see what she says too. do you get light headed and pass out at all too?

Thanks JBR. I am on cyclizine too but only take it sporadically as it doesn't seem to work and then am always hopeful that it's over at last when I have a day off and then it comes back even worse just to annoy me! I haven't felt lightheaded at all, basically have no symptoms apart from the puking. Have left a message for the midwife but don't think it's that serious, just another annoying side effect. Hope you feel better soon.

I have only ever had about 5 nose bleeds in my life, all were when I have been pregnant.

I get nosebleeds when I am anaemic. It might be worth getting your iron levels checked.

(I've never worked out why my body thinks getting rid of blood n iron is a good plan when I am lacking already )

i am thinking i should ask my midwife to check my iron levels, i feel so sick and tired, get light headed esily, have fainted twice, get the nosebleeds and often have pounding headaches. it could be anaemia???

I too have been suffering nosebleeds in the last few weeks (now 28 weeks). First one was really scary as I've never had a nosebleed in my life and I'm not very good with blood. The midwife said not to worry as it's quite common - more blood flowing round your system or something. JackBlackRoady, my iron levels are fine so it's not necessarily a sign of being anaemic, mind you I don't have any of the other symptons you mention so might be worth getting yourself checked out.
