I was chatting to a breast feeding counsellor the other day (out of hours- she's a friend) and she said that if this happens then it's a good chance to practice expressing. She said in a warm bath or with a warm flannel you can hand express, or you can try a pump. Mine leek but I'm only 23 weeks so I'm not going to try it until further on.

wow -- yrs leak at 23? that seems quite early? didnt realise it could happen much before baby born.

tbh -- the idea of expressing makes my stomach turn and am still not sure whether i'll be able to BF at all cause its such a tough thing to get my head round.... but figure my body may think otherwise

this is going to sound awful but i keep thinking of my mums dark disorted nips and it makes me feel a bit

do feel like i will never be attractive again. which i know is a very vain tangent to a chat re BF

You know what freaked me out when this happened to me ? The was milk comes out of about 30 different holes and sprays in all directions.. god only knows why but i thought it all came out of that hole in the middle.. quite strange !

Tyaca- I had my first leak at 14 weeks! I was mortified. It's calmed down since then, but it's always there, and probably only going to get worse . I have similar reservations about bf-ing and it takes a lot of honesty to admit it because so many people jump down your throat about it. I think it'll all fit together when baby's born though... I reckon it's definately worth a try. Plus, I figured I can swap from breast to bottle but can't swap the other way round if you get me.
