Nursing bras: all hideous?

I've been to get fitted for a nursing bra and am seriously depressed - I'm a 32E/F in pre-preg world but am now a 36G . And in all the bras presented for my delectation, I looked horrific - two loose bags of wet cement dangling listlessly from my chest. I'm usually a keen purchaser of firm corsetry - am I destined to spend the next xxx months looking like someone who can fling her boobs over her shoulders with gay abandon? Are there any nursing bras that give actual, um, support? Or will I be so knackered that I won't care what I look like?

Do you like sports bras? They can work well as nursing bras.

I seemed to buy lots and yep, they were all pretty grim.
Bear in mind you might change size a few times (I certainly did) including changing size in one day so comfort is key.

There are loads on figleaves but I grant you, they are far from being lovely delicate flimsy little pieces of lace. You might find something though. I got a couple of lacy ones from M & S which are OK

Oh, I don't care what they look like, I just want them to lift things up a bit instead of letting them droop, sadly. Thank you for the links, though - I'll definitely try some out. I can always send them back....

I bought one from M and S the other day which has slightly padded/supportive cups... as I agree with you and cant stand that saggy material look. Not sure whether they would go up to a G cup though . It was a DD I bought. Worth a look though.

Try Emma Jane - John Lewis go up that size. They are plain broderie anglaise - not glam but definitely supportive. Go for support over looks!

Another vote here from Bravissimo - they have stores in major towns that can fit you if one is nearby. It is seriously worth going if you can as it's a nice experience to find someone sympathetic to your needs. Their whole range is fantastic too for when you get back to your normal size.

i went into mothercare the other day and they had these really fancy underwired nursing bras, i didnt see them in our size g cup but thats not to say they dont do it. Have a look on the web site.
