I have had a really bad pain under my ribs for 3 days now, am 28 weeks and reading up on the internet, i think it my womb pushing up into my ribs. But have noticed that I have quite painful braxton hicks, I thought they are not supposed to hurt? Should I worry because they do?

Sparkly i had the same with my first pg and the only thing thtat helped was lying on that side in a warm bath. I didn't get it with pg no 2 and hoping i won't with this one either as it was agony and got worse as time went on.

I had severe rib pain at 39 weeks with dd.I could not move/breathe it was so bad.

I was examined and told ribs had split and had a section the following day as they said i would struggle to continue.

When dd was born her foot was slightly twisted as it had been jammed in my ribs!! She was (is) very tall. Her foot was manipulated back and was fine in days.

I am pg again and so hope it doesnt happen this time! ouch

I had extremely bad pain just under my ribs in the centre, started at about 29 weeks, was so bad I couldn't sleep. After some to-ing and fro-ing from midwife, gp and hospital it turned out to be liver pain from severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome - I had no other symptoms to begin with. Most likely it won't be anything as dire but just as well to get checked out, can you get to your midwife or gp?
