My coccyx is killing me! I'm 13 weeks preggers with my second, (first was a giant and looks like this one will be too). Its been sore since day one, but only when I sat for too long in cinema or something, but now it's hurting all day every day.

I'm seeing the osteopath next weds, but at my desk right now not sure I'm going to last til then and feeling more miserable by the second.

Doesn't help that I drive for 1h30mins each way to work .

Does anyone have any tips?? Can you make it go away!?!?!? I'll try anything!!!

thanks

Ouch, i feel your pain!! I hurt my coccyx a couple of years ago when i (drunkenly) fell down some stairs while walking down them and landed flat on my coccyx. I couldn't walk after that and it absolutely killed for at least 2 weeks.

You might want to try a rubber ring to ease the pressure on it, perhaps?

Other than that, i have no idea what to suggest, other than to keep off it as much as possible, which isn't really that helpful.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Don't have any tips as yet i'm afraid but sufering from the same self thing, am 28 weeks today so all the added weight no helping. I think standing up and walking around every so often will help.

Sat in pub garden on uncomfortable bench all afternoon last week, my poor bot was in agony, in the end i just couldn't sit down

I've got this and got our H&S person at work onto it, as I'm deskbound for much of the day and it HURTS!

I've now got a slopey cushion with a slit in it - it basically pushes your pelvis forward so the weight's off your coccyx and has a slit under your coccyx so you're not even sitting on it. I found these online before it struck me that I could get work to sort it for me, so think they're fairly easily available if you want one for out of work.

I've found it made a real difference. I did get told I might need to consider a rubber ring when I got bigger, but currently 33 + 5 and it's still doing the trick.

Hope you manage to sort it out.

Just seen this thread, I have a very similar feeling to you ladies. Feel as tho I have been sitting on a hard uncomfortable seat, my bum is sooooo sore.

But also when walking about feels like i've fallen on my bum and hurt it but I havent.

What causes it does anyone know??

I find sitting on my gymball/birthing ball helps!
