Chicken Pox!!!!!

The girl who i sit next to (well, not directly next to, but about 6ft away from) has just told me that her mum thinks she has chicken pox (she still lives at home). Then she told me that she thought she had a few spots on her legs the other day, but they have gone away now. The girl has never had chicken pox so she could possibly get it. I had chicken pox about 14 years ago so am i right in thinking that i am immune now? If so, does that mean that if i come into contact with someone who has it, my baby will be ok???

Please put my mind at rest someone, i'm starting to panic!!

I'm 14 + 2.

Thanx.

if you have had cp, you should be immune so no worries. see you gp who can arrange a blood test to check your herpes status.

lol i was teasing .

The girl i sit next too described her spots and they sound like ordinary spots as they are not blisters. Her mum's aren't blisters either from the sounds of it.

Turns out, some kids at the local school have it, and their 9 month old nephew/grandson has had about 5 spots, but she doesn't know if they are blisters or not. Sounds like speculation to me (hopefully) but the girl is seeing her nephew tonight so will check out the spots and report to me tomorrow.
