Does my cat know everything about me?

My cat's all over me at the moment - just wants to sit as close to me as she can get. She's not normally like this and I've been told that pregnant women "smell wonderful" to cats. I guess she's more sensitive to hormones than us humans? I also wonder how much she knows - does she just appreciate how I smell at the moment, or does she know what's in store and is seeking all the attention she can get before it's too late? (This is my first)
Trouble is it's playing up my allergies and of course I can't take antihistamines. Any suggestions?

No advice I'm afraid!

My female cat was the same when I was pg with ds1, the male one never bothered at all, but she used to sit on my bed staring at my bump when I got dressed/undressed! Sounds daft to say but she had a very 'feline' look in her eyes as if she knew there was a baby in there!

Very weird.

My cat used to progressively look more and more annoyed as the bump got bigger.. as she had to sit further and further away and more towards the edge of my knee

She also used to try to 'catch' the bump when it kicked. Was very funny.

I didnt feel warmer until the 3rd trimester.

My cat won't leave me alone. Every opportunity she gets, she drapes herself across my bump and stretches her front legs over me. She purrs more loudly than usual, which 'bump' usually responds to with a kick or two. I'm sure she's trying to hatch me out or something!!!

my cat has been really needy of late and now i know why - just thought she was being her normal annoying herself. And my horse puts his nose on pregnant ladies' bumps and blows at them.

My cats were exactly the same when I was pg with Ds.Towards the end though, the female one used to hide and wouldn't come near me which was very strange,as she is such a loving cat.We even asked the vet who did say they can sense the baby. This time around she's acting normal, not jumping up on me as much, but at the same time, she isn't hiding.

My female cat has gone from being quite aloof in general to following me everywhere now that I have a big bump. She doesn't seem to want much to do with the bump itself, though she will use it as a springboard to the back of the couch if I don't stop her. My male cat has been extra affectionate, but just not quite so insistent about it. They certainly know something is up with me and I'll be very interested to see what they think of the LO when it arrives.

My female cat used to bring me birds when I was pregnant. When I am not pregnant, she never catches birds. But when I am pregnant, I must be given birds regularly.

She could tell I was pregnant pretty much once I was too - she didn't wait until the later days to start showering me with 'gifts'.

My cats usually ignore me but are now all fighting to sit on my lap. They must know.

I don't think I noticed anything different when I was pg, but then my kitty is normally all over me, he is my little furry shadow

I have a male Siamese cat, who is normally very loving and needs constant cuddles. Since I've been pregnant he hasn't wanted to come near me and his hairs on his neck keep going up every time I try to give him a cuddle.

He definitely knows something is happening.

I posted on the old thread, I am now 39 weeks and the cat still couldn't give a toss!!!

My cat totally cold shouldered me when I was prtegnant - which is very odd, as he is almost pathetically attention seeking at all other times.

How funny, I was wondering the same thing - my male cats are probably less affectionate than normal, but as soon as I sit down in the evening my female cat drapes herself over me and won't get off. She has also got really fat recently (she is spayed, so definitely not pregnant). I'm sure that she knows something!
