My right knee is really sore but only really feel it in bed the pain keeps waking me up. My ankle on that leg is also sore today.

My hip on the opposite side has been hurting on and off as well.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm 23 weeks. Anyone else had this? I haven't experienced it before.

Hey, I used to get joint pain when I was pregnant. I only got it in my shoulders though, it was very painful but I got it checked out and it's normal

I had awful problems in my first pregnancy so I'm a little over cautious and would suggest contacting your midwife and consider requesting a pregnancy physio referral.

I'm not medical so this is just my understanding but in pregnancy, I understand, our ligaments etc relax as part of the body changing process and so any strain injuries are rather difficult/ slow to repair.

When we have a sore part on one side of our bodies we overcompensate and use the other side more - putting on more load and strain and risking adding a new strain.

My physio gave me various support stockings that made a massive difference to the discomfort and helped me with some basic exercises and movements to try and stay balanced and not make matters worse.

I've had a lot of joint pain - tried to climb a mountain (doh) and had sore back etc since then.

I'm currently having a few sessions with a chiropractor who is well versed in treating pregnant women - feeling some positive effect after just 1 session.
