Newborn / up to 1 month sizing

Hi all

I've just realised I only have one 'newborn' babygrow and lots of 'up to 1 month' babygrows...same for the bodysuit vest thingys...

Do I need to get more newborn ones?

I've heard mixed opinions on sizing so I'm a bit confused but don't want baby to be drowned by too large clothing when he/she arrives!

Advice welcome - ftm here!

My baby was meant to be 9lb plus she arrived under 7. So mad panic of buying tiny baby.

I would have a few 0-3 months if possible.

Same with nappies get a pack of tiny baby nappies and new born as well

DD was born at 7lbs and wore newborn, up to - month and 0-3 all at the same time as different places have different sizing.

I'd suggest getting in a multipack of newborn bodysuits and sleepsuits to be on the safe side. You can always buy more once the baby arrives and you know how big s/he is.

I'd buy a pack of newborn vests and a pack of newborn sleepsuits. 0-1month will get pletny use and people will probs bit you 0-3 in gifts.

I'd second getting a few 0-3 months, my 9lb 8oz 58.5cm baby was way to long for the 0-1 mth (11lb, 55cm) sleepsuits I had!!! I'm only a petite 5'3'' myself!!!!

I've gone for one pack of newborn vests and sleepsuits (Mothercare - fits up to 7lbs 5oz) in case baby is small, and the rest on 'up to 1 month' M&S, which fits up to 9lbs 14oz. If baby is small OH will have to nip out and get some more newborn stuff.

DD was meant to be a biggie do we bought 0-3 months of most things. They ended up being too big when she came out at 7lb 7 but it never caused us any issues and they grow so quickly I'm glad we didn't need to spend more on extra clothes in those first few months

Yes I would either get a pack of each or look at which shops do the biggest newborn sizes. I'm just rewashing the neutral stuff we had for DD for this baby and noticed that newborn sizing varies depending on which shop from 7lb 11 right up to 10lb!!

Sorry, the ones from Mothercare are tiny baby, not newborn.
