Pregnancy

Really Upset - Bad Dream!

I'm 22 weeks pg and have just woken up in floods of tears and am really shaken up by a horrible dream I just had in which my baby died! My hands won't stop shaking and I can't stop my eyes watering and I seem to be getting a small, spooty rash on my stomach. I'm guessing this is down to worry, I know nothing is wrong with her or me but I'm really shaken up by it!

It's completely normal to have awful dreams in pregnancy. Just part of the huge emotional adjustment - hope you feel better after a nice cup of tea!

Poor you, I had a horrific dream a while ago where dd was killed in a car crash, it was so vivid. I had to go & get her out of her cot and slept with her the rest of the night. Pregnancy dreams can be ghastly, though thankfully most of mine are erotic.

weird and vivid dreams come along with pregnancy

but THEY MEAN NOTHING

they are just dreams .. your subconscious just throwing up strange images and your mind putting them into weird 'stories'

ignore them

apart from you Tutter .. you are definitely going to be swept off your feet by a stupid peroxided bloke on helium

Thanks everyone, it was just so strange. Cause I was so horrified by the dream yet knew that she was ok, very wierd! I've always wanted my baby and I love her to bits, but loosing her in that dream has really made me realise just HOW much I love and want her if that makes sense. Rash seems to have gone now so guess all is good. I'm used to strange dreams already, especially ahem, some fairly 'erotic' ones, I was just unprepared for this I think!

Ive just had two bad dreams-one where DP left me and was really nasty, and another where myself and thousands of others had to escape a huge building in which a Russian man was letting off a bomb!!! It was so scary...

they do say that you dream in pregnancy 4 a reason - but not wot you actually dream about eg. about the baby - is to make you bond with them eg. about dp/dh leaving or pasing away is because you worry they will be left out wen new arrival appears(same with existing children) dnt know bout knkiy dreams prob to make you fell bettter about yoursef wen actually u feel like a whale! spose it makes sense in a way
