Confused about dates after early scan

After a mmc at 13 weeks in January, I was offered a reassurance scan this time at 8 weeks. I had the scan on Thursday when, according to my own dates, I was 7+6. However, the sonographer dated me at 8+3 which ties in with how it was possible for me to get a positive 2-3 week result on a cbd the day before I'd missed my period and a 3+ at 5 weeks. I'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks and, originally, I thought I'd be 12+1 when I left and 13+1 on my return but now I'm wondering if I should go by the scan instead? I'd like to have the nuchal screening so I don't want to miss it because of the holiday. (It won't change anything, still keeping the baby but have an older dd to prepare). Which date should I go by?

Go by the scan dates. They are much more accurate that when you think you conceived.

You could have ovulated early. It is only 4 days different.

Thanks. I thought that. I know I ovulated early as I used opks but think I must have implanted quickly too as ovulation was on cd12.

I know that my sils scan put her at having conceived the day after af and then didnt change so it's most likely that the scan is accurate. I'm just nervous about getting ahead of myself I think!

The nuchal screening can be done between 11 and 14 weeks so if you're only going on holiday for a week you'd still be able to fit it in.

I know but the appointments are slow to come through here so I doubt it will be before my holiday. Although I am being a little crazy I know. After last time it's hard to stay calm.Smile
