Pregnancy

All day headache

I suffered severe migraines before pregnancy which stopped once pregnant. I've had the odd headache here and there but paracetamol would get rid.

Today I woke up after not sleeping well with a headache which has got worse during the day. Sleep and paracetamol haven't shifted it.

Have called midwife and left a message but can't stop worrying. I'm 23+6

Ring the maternity unit at hospital you are planning to have baby at. It is probably nothing but they are there to check. The phone number should be on your notes.

Hi Cola,
I've always been a headachey person (migraines in family) which could be triggered by hormones/not eating/tiredness/smells/anything but I didn't experience any headaches in the first trimester, bizarrely (having always had headache/migraine before period).
I only started getting them after that, mainly really heavy tensions style headaches gripping the whole of my head. They would take a day or two to go.
I don't have any solution as I would just use paracetamol, 4head stick or compress and try and lay down.
You're doing the right thing by seeking advice from your midwife but i wonder if it's just one of those fun pregnancy things we have to put up with.
Hope you feel better soon.

Called the Preg Asses Unit at hospital and they asked me in.

Ketones +++ apparently I'm brewing an infection which explains lots of other little symptoms I'd been putting down to just being pregnant.
