Hi I've just found out I am 4-5 weeks pregnant after TTC for over 6 months. I'm getting way ahead of myself overthinking etc as this is my first Smile. When did you all start to show? I'm just so nervous about everything!! X

Congratulations!!!

With my first baby I had a tiny bump at 5 months but was a lot bigger at 7 months, I didn't change much from 7-9 months.
This pregnancy I am 16 weeks pregnant and not really showing yet

I think it depends on a lot of factors! with my first I was showing by 12 weeks and had quite a considerable bump by 17 weeks. I am 5ft and was a really slim size 8 at the time.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Flowers

Congratulations! I started showing around 24/25 weeks with my first and around 18 weeks with my second. I'm currently 6ish weeks pregnant with no.3 so we shall wait and see this time around!

Not until about 22 weeks with DC1, with this pregnancy more like 14 weeks! Your uterus doesn't start to rise out of your pelvis until 12 weeks so unlikely to get a bump til after that, although you may get bloating beforehand which will come and go.

With my DD, no one could tell I was pregnant for ages and ages....then my tummy just kind of "popped" around 24/25 weeks and there was no hiding it anymore!
I'm only 7 weeks in with DC2, and I've had to unbutton my jeans Blush convinced it's either twins or too much cake

Thank you so much! I keep doing tests because I really can't believe it. I didn't know what to do next so booked a doctors appointment. Now just looking up different foods I should avoid etc. All so exciting xx

Congratulations Baby40 It's a good idea to start taking a pregnancy multivitamin with folic acid and vitamin D in :)

Congratulations!

I am 5'2 and size ten, 16 weeks with third baby. Not showing yet but I can just feel the beginnings of a bump when I lie down.

First 2 I didn't show until 26 weeks + and suspecting this one will be the same. But some people show much earlier Smile

I took the seven seas pregnancy tablets on my last pregnancy and I have this pregnancy, I get them from boots 28 tablets for £4.99. They have the folic acid, vitamin d and iron. If your not sure which ones you want to take, talk to a pharmacist.

I stopped drinking coffee Completely both times in pregnancy, I personally don't want all that caffeine in my body when pregnant. But the advice (Nhs website) is no more than 200mg a day of caffeine when pregnant and they offer this as guidance
The amount of caffeine found in some foods and drinks is as follows:
one mug of instant coffee: 100mg
one mug of filter coffee: 140mg
one mug of tea: 75mg
one can of cola: 40mg
one can of energy drink: up to 80mg
one 50g bar of plain chocolate: most products on the UK market contain less than 25mg
one 50g bar of milk chocolate: most products on the UK market contain less than 10mg.

I use the Seven Seas pregnancy plus tablets. They are the same as the Seven Seas pregnancy ones, but also have an Omega-3 Capsule. Its worth looking around to see where is selling the vitamins you want on a 3 for 2 offer (Boots & Tesco often do this).

I was showing by 20 weeks, but as I wasn't slim to begin with, some people at work still haven't worked out that I'm pregnant (I'm now 31 weeks). Sad

Baby40 I'm in the south west and here we just make an appointment with the midwife at around 8/9 weeks,Bypassing the doctor completely they don't do a test or anything. Might be worth enquiring with your surgery as midwives get booked up so quickly. I rang mine today and the first free appointment she had was in three weeks. (I'll be 9 weeks)
Start taking folic acid. I allow myself one cup of 'real' coffee a day if I drink anymore it's decaf (the kenco one is really nice) x

Folic acid is vital! It is proven to prevent spina bifida and other neural tube defects. You can get folic acid tabs by themselves for only a couple of quid in Boots. It's in certain foods but supplements are really recommended even if you have a healthy diet. Don't delay.

I am 14 weeks and people think I am showing but I am just not bothering to hold in my fat tummy any more Grin

Hi Ladies! I'm 16 weeks and very much showing!! Think that is also due to me stopping running for a while as I felt HORRIFIC for about 6 weeks Grin!

I didn't show until 7 months the first time. I'm hoping to repeat the feat this time (have also just found out I am 4-5 weeks), as I really don't want the various grandparents to know until we hit at least 20 weeks. Smile

16 weeks and have a definite bump but probably wasn't fully showing until 14 weeks. Struggled to get into work trousers after half term!

QueenMolotov · 07/03/2016 21:31

DD1: No bump and then one popped out around 24w
DD2: I remember starting to show around 16w

I'm now almost 12w pg with DC3 and have been getting a podge on since 5w BlushGrin Seriously though, tummy is rounding out now.

Drinking coffee is fine, but limit it to 2 cups per day - or drink decaf. Tea is fine, but limit to 4 cups per day.

This is second pregnancy for me but first miscarried at 9 weeks so didnt get this far. 23+4 and I would say that I've probably only just properly popped out over this weekend. I'd had a podgy belly from abou 18 weeks. But as my dh put it 'you actually look pregnant now and not just fat'!

I started to feel a hardness in my belly around 19 weeks and I think at 23 weeks now it's looking more and more like bump rather than my usual fat belly. I feel movement nearly everyday for the past 2 weeks which is very exciting.

I drink only decaf coffee unless I'm out and about. However I've not gotten over stressed about that and would advise you to use common sensemble rather than getting super stressed because you accidently had more caffiene than is officially advised. I take pregnacare vitamins that I got on 3for2 at boots so I've got enough for the whole pregnancy.

Good luck with everything.
