Hi everyone. Hope you are all well ☺
I am 8 weeks tomorrow and i am so worried about something going wrong. My partner is supportive and says he bets everyone feels like this but every time i go to the toilet i expect the worse. And i am so tired and emotional and keep getting a few twinges which i know are probably normal??
Also does anyone know when you hear off the midwife? I was kind of expecting too this week but haven't.....

Worrying is normal (as are twinges) but please try not to let it takeover and try and enjoy your pregnancy.

Not sure what you mean by hear off midwife? Have you made a booking appointment with one? I had to make one for when I was 9 weeks through the doctors receptionist. It'll just be a detail / blood taking exercise at this stage and gets you in the system for scans etc.

You are worrying too much. But so did I. Everything is very much out of your control (other than the obvious taking good care of yourself!). My husband was a brilliant support - your boyfriend sounds as if he is too.

Have you rung the doctors to book in with your mw? I'd self refer and make your own appointment if you can. That will make you feel a bit more in control and hopefully a bit better too! Flowers

When i went to see my doctor he said he was refering me to the midwife so i assumed i would have to wait to get a call or letter off them for my booking appointment.

Oh I'd just ring and book myself. They'll probably write to you but at least if you ring you know what's happening and when!

I know-honestly though I'm 34 weeks on Monday and they never leave me alone now! I feel like I've nothing but appointments to go to!

Try and enjoy the early stages-I wish I had more but I was so anxious and fretful all the time. The pregnancy boards have been fab for me so stick around! And please please don't google anything!Flowers

I was exactly the same, but as time has gone on I've definitely worried less (23+4). I agree with pp about not googling, a big mistake of mine! Just try to relax, I personally love crafting, going for walks and listening to relaxing music, whatever you can to keep your mind from getting too worked up about things. Also, I had twinges and cramps too (even some bleeding), but everything was fine and normal. Congratulations to you Smile
