CB Digital weeks indicator - really worried!

Wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar to me as I'm freaking out a bit! Got my BFP last Monday, day after period was due. Just a normal Clear Blue test. For some reason got it into my head to take another one today and was worried the line wasn't a lot darker than last week so, decided to take one that tells you the weeks as well. It came up as being 1-2 weeks, whereas at 5 weeks (based on last period) should be 2-3. My symptoms have been a bit erratic bit of sickness, sore boobs etc on and off, but didn't have any symptoms with my DS until I was about 6-7 weeks so nothing to base it on.

I know that's not much I can do about it but just wondered if anyone had any experience of these not being accurate and going on to have a healthy pregnancy? Thanks!

Date of last period is estimate if you didn't conceive till 1-2 weeks ago then it's not going to say 5 weeks. Depends when you ovulate and when you conceive that's my understanding

I realise that but I do know I would have conceived about 3 weeks ago (only time that week it would have been possible!) so was just assuming should have been higher by now.

You don't know when you conceived and those things arent 100% reliable. In the nicest possible way, they can match your dates entirely and the pregnancy not be healthy or viable.

Realistically, they tell you you're pregnant. No more, no less. You can only have faith in that and see a midwife in a few weeks.

No more tests. They aren't helping you.

Yes don't worry op. If you're 5 weeks it will say 1-2 and when you're 6-7 weeks it will say 3-4. Stop stressing it's not good for the baby WinkCakeBrew congratulations!

I think I remember hearing somewhere (please don't laugh if I'm wrong or just very gullible) that the sperm can take up to 5 days to find its destination, so just because you had sex on a certain day, doesn't mean that was the day you conceived. (I feel really stupid writing this down, am really questioning myself on how true this can be!)

OK - so you got BFP on CB last week - was it faint or reasonably strong?
Did you take the one you took today at the same sort of time? Good hold of urine? The line should be stronger considering the HCG levels rising, however, it depends entirely on what urine you were using, when, how much, which test etc.

I too wouldn't get too hung up on dates - I'm about 4 weeks, so should be showing up as 1-2 weeks on Digi but the one I took Friday night showed as "Not Pregnant" - but I'm getting consistently strong lines on FRER. Digi's are less sensitive in general. Some people don't get a "Pregnant" result until they are 6-7 weeks!

I am just as guilty as over testing - this is my first and I've had cramping, but I'm so early I have no idea what to expect and at the moment, my lines have been getting stronger and I haven't had any other indication that it won't continue (although a lot of cramping today). I've been told time and time to relax, so Flowers for you xxx

Please don't use those things, they're awful. I actually think they should be banned for the amount of hassle they cause.

I'll tell you a story - I miscarried at 6 weeks. I'd been getting more and more worried because of those stupid digi weeks indicator. Got 1-2 weeks on them four times, and each time I tested three/four days apart. Turned out they were right - hormones weren't high enough, and I lost the baby.

but I got pregnant again almost immediately. Should have stayed away from the stupid things, but obviously because they'd "predicted" my miscarriage I thought they'd be a good indicator that all was going well. Nope. Exact same thing happened. I went up to '2-3 weeks' but then tested again and the indicator went down to 1-2 weeks. I was so hysterical I booked an early scan at 6 weeks. Saw a heartbeat, and now I'm 33 weeks and all is fine.

Stay away from them - they're bollocks. As long as you have no pain and no bleeding, I would assume as much as you can that all is ok Flowers

Thanks all for your sane responses! Feel a bit more reassured now and know that really just have to stop look for reassurance from tests! Will hold fire for now and just see how things go. Thanks again.

I fucking hate those things, they're awful. I thought I'd lost my baby as I was bleeding and kept retesting with those and it never increased, I was convinced I'd lost him.

He's now 5 months and fine. Don't worry

They're rubbish. I didn't go higher 2-3weeks. My LB is now 10months. Also, some of the dye tests don't get darker because they have less dye in them. Step away from the tests! I'm pg with no 2 and I am not testing again. Try to enjoy xx
