All I want is bland food

I'm in week 9 and my appetite is destroyed. I love my food but in the last week or so all I want is bland and flavourless food. Stuff like jacket potatoes, noodles, yoghurts... The smell of food cooking is unpleasant which is a pain. I'm having hunger pangs even though I'm eating but I just don't want anything unless it's dull.

Please tell me this passes! I don't even want cheese....CHEESE! What's happening lol

fruityb I feel like this could have been my post when I was 9 weeks! it started to pass I would say about 13/14 weeks (now 21+6) but I still struggled with spicy food for a few weeks after but could handle more flavour. Its not that it made me sick, I just couldn't bare the thought. I seem to be eating a much more normal diet now but there are a few things I still could not even imagine eating! (Salt and Pepper chicken.....my DP fav....he isn't very impressed Grin)

I feel sick all the time but haven't actually been sick. Part of me wishes I was as I'd feel like this had a purpose! I'm starving but don't want to eat anything. It's like a food aversion. And that's not like me, I was nicknamed pie girl at uni! Not for weight but just because I could eat and loved my food.

Not heard of this saying it's a boy! I wouldn't really know I was pregnant apart from this. And the boobs in agony first thing in morning and when I go to bed. They are enormous which my OH is loving. I'm so excited to be pregnant but want to enjoy my dinner again!

I had EXACTLY the same thing. From about week 8-17. For two whole weeks I completely lived on cheese sandwiches. I'm usually a keen cook but I completely went off cooking and hated thinking about food or being in the kitchen. I suffered with morning sickness and would have to eat something every hour or so to stop myself throwing up but sometimes the thought of eating anything could almost make me cry!
Now I'm 21 weeks and just about completely back to normal (appetite came back over Christmas - Yay!).
Stick to what you want to eat and don't worry about nutrition too much at this stage. A mama eating nothing but bland, white food is better than one who's throwing up or miserable all the time. As long as you're taking vitamins baby will get everything they need.
Good luck! xx
And by the way, Dr is pretty sure we're expecting a girl...

I'm on a seven seas folic acid plus others pill at the mo. Huge things they are!

Glad it's not just me. I love cooking but I just don't want to at the moment. OH being awesome and looking after me :)
