Hi, I'm 19 weeks pregnant and for the past week/week and a half I've been having horrendous headaches, which paracetamol isn't really helping. Any ideas as to what could be causing them?

I'm exactly the same! 18 weeks this Friday and have had them badly on and off for the last week or two. I read up that lack of iron can cause headaches?? I don't help myself as I keep forgetting to take my bloody pregnacare vitamins Confused also are you drinking enough? I'm normally a bit rubbish with making sure I keep hydrated but have tried to make more of an effort since pregnant.

Hi HD18. I'm not taking any vitamins, but I think I'm drinking enough? I can't face drinking any more as I'm already up to the loo between 6 and 10 times a night. I don't want to go to the doctor and waste their time if it's just part of being pregnant

I had this with my DS. Drink a small cup of coffee. I found it helped almost instantly. And I hate coffee.

It dilates the blood vessels allowing the increased blood flow through. Hopefully it works for you.

Oh yes and drink plenty!

Thanks Luckystar, I also hate coffee but I'm willing to try anything. I'll give it a go!

I had this with them lasting 2/3 days. I'm now 30 weeks and can't remember when the last one was so hopefully yours will go too. Take it easy, lie in a dark room if you can and drink plenty.
